My grandfather has a small cranberry marsh, so when Feast & Field magazine asked me to photograph a local marsh and fresh cranberry dishes, I was all in. Me, my assistant, a videographer, and a drone operator spent the morning and early afternoon tromping around a large cranberry marsh on the Wisconsin River at the peak of harvest season. I fell in love with the fourth and fifth generation owners of the marsh and was able to capture so much beauty. Shooting the cranberry dishes several days later was only more enjoyable for having experienced the harvest process up close.
